The Myokinesthetic System was invented by Dr. Michael Uriarte D.C.. He blended his chiropractic education and philosophy with a soft tissue technique.

The myokinesthetic system is a way to treat the cause of pain, the nervous system, by determining the cause of the nervous system problem. This is accomplished by treating specific muscles together. Passive stretching and active stretching with stimulation of the muscles and movement are used in this technique.

The client wears clothes, no oils are used.

Nerve problems may include numbness and tingling.

The nerves involved are C-1 to T-1 upper body and L-1 to S-2 Lower body.
